Abu Dhabi often gets treated as Dubai's quieter sibling, and while that's true in pace, it undersells what's actually here. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most architecturally striking religious buildings anywhere in the world, the Louvre Abu Dhabi houses genuine masterworks in a building as remarkable as its contents, and Yas Island packs in Ferrari World, a Formula 1 circuit, and a major waterpark within a few minutes of each other. It's a capital deliberately investing in culture alongside spectacle, and the two balance each other in a way Dubai alone doesn't quite manage.
